Rules for repeating students
Students who did not receive credit for the course in the previous year may repeat it. It is recommended to repeat both the exam and the laboratory work. However, if you have already passed one of these components, you may choose to repeat only the other one, provided you meet the following conditions:
- If you received credit for the labs but failed the exam, you may choose to repeat only the exam.
- Request the transfer of your lab credit from the previous year.
- If you passed the exam but did not receive credit for the labs, you may choose to repeat only the lab component:
- If you earned fewer than 13 points from the homework assignments, you must repeat all homework from the beginning. Sign up for a standard lab course and obtain the lab credit in the usual way. No need to read further.
- If you earned at least 13 but fewer than 19 points, you will receive your previous homework points after completing some additional work.
- If you earned 19 or more points, your homework points will be automatically transferred.
- Please contact Tomáš Faltín to discuss the details and agree on a plan for repeating the course.
- Request the transfer to the special group for repeating students (virtual, Tuesday 17:20).
For students with more than 13 points from homework, there is a special group in Recodex. Homework will be assigned there, just like in the other groups, for your own practice and preparation for the lab exam. Please follow the deadlines and request a review so that your homework can be reviewed and used for the final lab exam.
